Payment

I accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and checks (which must be made out to "Laughlin Designs"). Payment must be received in full before products will be shipped. All prices and specifications are subject to change.

Once you place an order by credit card, your card will be charged within 7 days. This will happen even if the merchandise is a special or custom order and has not yet shipped. The reason is that charge card companies only authorize a card for 7 days and require that I make the charge to your card within that period. For your protection I do not keep your charge information so am unable to charge a card later or in part. Should it become necessary to cancel your order after the charge is made your card will be credited or a check issued. In addition, most custom orders are both non-returnable and require payment up front. Most customers don't have a problem with my policy on these types of orders, but if this is a concern for you please make alternate arrangements when you place your order.

Returns

Most returned goods are subject to a 10% restocking fee, as imposed by the manufacturer. Some items are non-returnable; see "Custom Items" below. All items must be returned in perfect condition in their original packaging. BEFORE MAKING A RETURN please request a return authorization via phone or email. When the return is authorized and received your card will be refunded, less any shipping and handling fees. Once an order is placed and in process with the supplier a cancellation will be treated as a return.

Custom Items

The following are custom items subject to special conditions:
-Custom monogrammed items (excluding pre-monogrammed items)
-Bedskirts
-Items on clearance sale due to having been discontinued
-Cut fabric by the yard
-All special orders
-Bed linens by St. Geneve, Bonjour, Jane Wilner, Aude de Balmy and Dans Nos Maisons
THESE ITEMS ARE NON-RETURNABLE except in the case of a defect. The time required to ship these items varies; you will be notified by email of the estimated delivery date. Please allow an extra 5-8 weeks for delivery of custom items.

Sales Tax

Sales tax will be charged to Kentucky residents.

Shipping

Items purchased in orders that total over $200 (before tax) receive free shipping, except for orders shipped to addresses outside the continental USA, or orders that include very heavy items such as laundry products. Orders to addresses outside the continental USA and very heavy items are subject to shipping charges depending on the items ordered and the delivery location.

Orders are shipped by UPS. Because of this, I cannot ship to PO Boxes. Please provide a street address.

In order to bring you lower prices I do not keep most items in stock, and so orders are placed with the manufacturer as they arrive. Once I receive your items from the manufacturer, I inspect the order, re-package it and send it on it's happy way to you, my customer. Orders will be fulfilled within 2-6 weeks or sooner, unless the manufacturer notifies me of a delay, in which case I will notify you by email. If you need an item by a certain date, please inform me in the comments box when placing your order or by email. If I cannot meet that deadline I will notify you and your card will not be charged.

International Orders

I ship to most countries. However, orders shipped outside of the US and Canada are considered special orders, and additional fees and shipping charges may apply. Call or email for details. International orders are usually paid via wire transfer or direct deposit.
