Colorful personal blankets for home, travel, the beach... anywhere you like. Thick, soft, and made in Maine. Woven on antique shuttle looms that produce selvedges that cannot unravel or be aesthetically obtained on modern equipment. Edges are hand-folded and securely sewn in place.
Brahms/Mount makes genuine blankets and throws in a small weaving mill located in Hallowell, Maine. The company was founded in 1983 by artists Claudia Brahms and Noel Mount with the vision of weaving the best blankets available from natural fibers. Their site occupies the former home of the Hallowell Granite Company, founded in 1866 as one of the first production lines in North America.
