Lycella® featherbeds are truly different in design, materials, and construction. Unlike most “featherbeds” which are actually no more than feather-filled pads, this one is practically a feather mattress. With over 25% more fill than most competing brands, this featherbed gives a gentle support, while cradling you in comfort. A specialized twill weave was chosen as the outer cover because of its strength and durability to withstand years of use. We use a unique baffled box design, with valve openings into each box that hold the fill in place. Filled with 20/80% white goose down/feather blend. No gimmicky side-boxing that compresses during use and bulges out from the sheets. Instead, the featherbed size listed is the size before filling. When filled, the featherbed will perfectly fit your mattress with a knife-edge. Featherbeds are not for use by infants or young children. Shell designed in the U.S.A. Constructed in the Czech Republic, with filling, sewing, and finishing in the U.S.A. White goose fill is of European origin, with washing, sorting, and processing in the U.S.A.

To ensure long life, we recommend that all featherbeds be used with featherbed protectors. Featherbeds go on top of your mattress and should be covered for protection. A zippered cover is often used to protect the featherbed. You should use a fitted sheet deep enough to cover the featherbed and mattress without being too tight on the featherbed. Some customers tell us that they like to use a quilted mattress pad over their featherbed for additional protection.
