If you want to feel cooler with a mattress pad, then this is the right move for you. Wool absorbs perspiration much better than polyester and will keep your mattress wonderfully clean and fresh. Its breathability keeps you cool in the summer and cozy in the winter. Some say this is the best mattress pad, and we tend to agree.
Wool also lasts for years and is naturally flame retardant. A special European milling process makes this wool completely machine washable, unlike typical wool pads that need to be dry cleaned. St. Dormeir protectors have the same convenience of polyester filled mattress pads with all the best characteristics of natural wool.
Customers who have bought the Tempurpedic mattresses or similar foam or latex mattresses & felt it slept too hot made this St. Dormeir wool mattress topper famous. Many discovered that it helps cool down their mattress without interfering with the feel.
Available with 16" deep pockets (for mattresses up to 13" thick) or 24" deep pockets (for mattresses up to 21" thick). Weight is 250 g/m2.
Care instructions: Machine wash with warm water on the gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Do not use chlorine bleach. Wash these protectors by themselves and do not overload the washing machine. Tumble dry on low heat.
Note: These mattress protectors are water resistant not water proof. Small swatches are available upon request.

From the first nights use it has surpassed our expectations. We like the way wool adapts to both cool and warm nights. The sheets stay in place. We have not had it long enough to need to try laundering the mattress cover. This is very superior to "polyester or cotton" mattress covers!
A must for Tempurpedic mattrress!

I purchased a 7.3 lb. (density) memory foam mattress from Tempurpedic called The Grand Bed to relieve chronic back pain. The mattress caused excessive heat build up undrneath my body, and I awoke hot and sweaty multiple times per night. Frustrated, I purchased Outlast and Tencel products but they both failed to regulate the mattresses temperature too. After researching forums, I decided to try one last product before returning the 220 pound mattress! The new Dormeir (St. Geneve) wool mattress pad worked flawlessly! Now, I sleep like a baby and don't suffer from pain or night sweats. The pad is excellent quality, and works as advertised. Thank You-
Love this mattress pad

It has been four months since purchasing the St Dormeir Mattress Pad and I couldn't be more pleased. I was a little worried about investing so much money in a mattress pad but it has been worth every penny. I have trouble maintaining my body temperature due to severe health issues and this pad has helped so much in helping me to sleep more comfortably. Owning a latex mattress and I was concerned about the pad changing the feel of my bed but I have not noticed much of a change at all. I had also read reviews about some folks describing this pad like laying on a towel, I know everyone is different but I find the St Dormeir very comfy. Sandra was super helpful in helping pick out the right size. Thanks again Sandra! I highly recommend!
Superior quality mattress protector

After purchasing our first memory foam mattress ever, I realized we also needed a new protector that was breathable yet water resistant. After much research, I found that the St. Dormeir seemed to be the gold standard in mattress protectors. It was the most recommended and received the highest reviews by far on all of the forums and blogs. The only thing that made me hesitate was the price tag. I went ahead and order one.....no regrets at all! The protector is very well made, right down to the evenly spaced stitching. The sides are generous but once you put it on the mattress, they stay in place with no bunching. I have an 11" mattress and it could easily handle a thicker one. The entire protector is incredibly soft. The top pad is nice and thick yet does not mask the feel of the memory foam in the least. My husband has always been a "hot" sleeper and he has noticed a huge difference since we started using the St. Dormeir. He no longer wakes up in the middle of the night, drenched with perspiration. Overall, this is a fantastic mattress protector and well worth the cost.
Very well made product, but thin

I was pleased to see the quality construction and materials used in this mattress pad. However, I was disappointed that the pad provides very little additional plushness to my mattress, which was one of the reasons I purchased it. I need to get something else to put under it now. I'm sort of amazed that some other reviewers felt it did provide comfy cushioning. I got a pad from a new batch; maybe they have significantly lowered the wool content? PS - I cannot seem to edit my review; "protects mattress" is not a con!
pricey, but worth it

Wool can be "cool"

When my husband suggested trying a wool mattress pad and I thought he was insane. I always thought wool was to keep you warm. It turns out that I love my wool mattress pad so much. This winter it kept us warm enough and it also seems to just wick away any perspiration associated with a pillow-top mattress. We have a California King mattress so bedding tends to be a little more pricier. I would strongly urge anyone to spend a little extra money and give it a try.
Great pad for Tempur cooling

I use the pad to help make a Tempur mattress cooler to sleep on and it does help! It is still way to new to really rate the durability but it is very comfortable!
