St. Dormeir: Wool Pillow Protectors
St. Dormeir pillow protectors are quilted in Spain with 100% Virgin New Zealand Wool, using a special unbleached, undyed 100% cotton quilted terry cover. Please note that these St. Dormeir protectors will make your pillows feel a bit firmer, due to the thickness of the wool fill. Weight is 250 g/m2. Custom sizes are available by special order; please call or email for more information.
Why St. Dormeir Wool? Wool absorbs perspiration much better than polyester and will keep your pillow wonderfully clean and fresh. Its breathability keeps you cool in the summer and cozy in the winter, with a wonderfully soft surface. Wool also lasts years longer and is naturally flame retardant. A special European milling process makes this wool completely machine washable.
Care instructions: Machine wash with warm water on the gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Do not use chlorine bleach. Wash these protectors by themselves and do not overload the washing machine. Tumble dry on low heat and remove while slightly damp.

They are not mere pillow protectors but enhance any pillow. They wick away perspiration and give a pillow more body. I use them on goose down pillows. They are expensive and really a long term investment so pay attention to how to wash and dry and use the mildest detergent for fine washables.

Most people wouild be shocked that I purchased 3 of these King size Wool pillowcases for my Terrier Dogs. One of them-Shakespeare has a Dust & Mold Mite allergy. I purchased a piece of high quality Latex, allergy proof pillow case and the wool pillow case to cover everything. Wool breathes. The Letx and pillow case are Allergan free. These Latex covered dog beds fit a standard size crate perfectly.
As usual, the best - and worth it

Like the bed pad, pricey but worth it. I bought another wool pillow protector for less; nice but this one is better. Just wash with the mild soap Laughlin recommends and damp dry. Don't nuke!
