Terms of Sale
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, PayPal, and checks (made out to "Snuggledown"). Payment to be received in full before products are shipped. All prices and specifications are subject to change.
Once you place an order by credit card, your card will be charged within 7 days. This will happen even if the merchandise is a special or custom order and has not yet shipped. For your protection we do not keep your charge information so we are unable to charge a card later or in part. Should it become necessary to cancel your order after the charge is made your card will be credited or a check issued. Custom orders are both non-returnable and require payment up front.
Snuggledown strives to offer competitive online pricing. If you find a lower price elsewhere for a new, identical item, just call or email and we will try to match the price. Plus, you receive free shipping and no sales tax in most cases. This price match guarantee does not apply to auction sites or clearance items, and we reserve the right to limit the quantity. Not valid in combination with other discounts or for previously placed orders.
Most UNOPENED merchandise can be returned within 15 days after delivery for a refund or exchange (see * below). (Some items are non-returnable; see "Custom Items" below.) Shipping costs are non-refundable. Upon returning merchandise you will incur the full cost of shipping, even if you originally received free or discounted shipping. All items must be returned unused, in perfect condition, refolded in their original packaging, and with a valid return authorization.
*BEFORE MAKING A RETURN please request return authorization via phone or email. If you are given a return authorization number it must be written on the outside of the package to ensure that you receive proper credit for the return. Once an order is placed and in progress with the supplier a cancellation will be treated as a return. A waiver of shipping costs and restocking fees will be given in the rare event that merchandise is incorrect or defective.
Tips to Help Avoid Returns
- Check the color in person. We offer free fabric samples for most items. Please please call or email to request a real swatch if you need to match colors exactly, or if you would just like to see and feel the fabric before buying.
- Double-check the sheet size for your mattress. Sheet sizing is specified on our site for each product; please measure your mattress before ordering to ensure compatibility. Fitted sheet pockets need to be at least 3" deeper than the actual height of your mattress so that you can tuck the sheet under.
Returns: Special Restrictions on Down Products
Most manufacturers will not accept returned, used, down products due to health regulations. Therefore, to help guide you in your selection we have links on our down comforter pages from the manufacturers giving tips on how to select a down comforter that is right for you. In addition, when it doubt it is advised that the lighter weight choice be selected. The manufacturers can add down if the comforter is not warm enough but cannot remove down if it is too warm.
The following are custom items subject to special conditions:

-Bed linens by St. Geneve, Schlossberg, Jane Wilner and Traditions Linens
THESE ITEMS ARE NON-RETURNABLE except in the case of a defect. The time required to ship these items varies; you will be notified by email of the estimated delivery date. Please allow an extra 5-8 weeks for delivery of custom items.
Sales tax will be charged to Kentucky residents.
Orders that include $50 or more of eligible items receive free ground shipping within the continental United States. Heavy laundry products are not eligible for free shipping. Orders to addresses outside the continental USA are subject to shipping charges depending on the delivery address and the items ordered. Special note for our Canadian customers: all St. Geneve products are shipped from within Canada, thereby eliminating customs charges.
Orders are shipped by UPS. Because of this, we cannot ship to PO Boxes. Please provide a street address.
In order to bring you lower prices we do not keep all items in stock, unstocked orders are placed with the manufacturer as they arrive. In most cases, items are shipped directly to you from the manufacturer. Orders will be fulfilled within 2-6 weeks or sooner, unless we are notified of a delay, in which case we will inform you by email. If you need an item by a certain date, please inform us in the comments box when placing your order or by email. If we cannot meet that deadline we will let you know and your card will not be charged.
Snuggledown gift certificates have no expiration date and can be redeemed at any time online or by calling us during business hours. Any unused balance of a gift certificate will remain valid until it is redeemed. Gift certificates have no cash value and cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash. Snuggledown is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. Gift certificates cannot be used to purchase other gift certificates.
Orders shipped outside of the USA and Canada are considered special orders, and additional fees and shipping charges may apply. Call or email for details.
